Summary:Virginia Union University is seeking qualified contractors to provide renovation, installation, and repair services for Hartshorn Hall, as described in the six project packages attached. Contractors must be appropriately licensed, bonded, and insured to perform general construction, interior finish work, ADA compliance modifications, HVAC, and plumbing services. Contractor proposals should address the following six packages (refer to attachments for detailed specifications): Package #1 - ADA Ramp Construction o Build ADA-compliant ramp with handrails and landings o Trex or concrete decking; masonry skirting optional o Site concrete sidewalk connection required Package #2 - Interior Walls and Doors o Frame, install, and finish new partition walls o Install doors per VUU specifications and finish standards Package #3 - Interior & Exterior Painting o Paint interior walls, stairwell, trim, and exterior wood surfaces o Surface prep and repair are required before painting Package #4 - Flooring o Clean and refinish terrazzo; repair/replace VCT as needed o Apply a high-gloss finish to terrazzo floors Package #5 - Service Plumbing System o Flush and inspect all systems o Repair or replace fixtures on 1st and 2nd floors o ADA compliance required for restrooms Package #6 - HVAC System Start-Up o Flush steam and HVAC lines; service boilers, radiators, and controls o Service or replacement of AC window units Each package must be priced separately.
