Work includes matching the size and type of existing operators (most are 4.5" with some narrow sizes), adding wiring or other components as needed-battery-operated devices are not permitted and disposing of all removed push-button operators and related debris. If wall damage occurs during replacement, the contractor shall repair and touch up paint as necessary. Safety barricades and signage must be provided to alert personnel in the work area. The contractor must have at least five years of experience installing these types of devices and ensure all work meets the specified requirements. Completion of the project shall occur within 75 days from the notice to proceed. Location: Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), Chesterfield County, VA.
