Renovation of a military facility in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The contractor shall replace all first-floor push-button handicapped door operators with touchless wave-type operators rated for high traffic. Work includes matching the size and type of existing operators (most are 4.5" with some narrow sizes), adding wiring or other components as needed-battery-operated devices are not permitted and disposing of all removed push-button operators and related debris. If wall damage occurs during replacement, the contractor shall repair and touch up paint as necessary. Safety barricades and signage must be provided to alert personnel in the work area. The contractor must have at least five years of experience installing these types of devices and ensure all work meets the specified requirements. Completion of the project shall occur within 75 days from the notice to proceed. Location: Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), Chesterfield County, VA. Disclosure of magnitude: the estimated magnitude of the award is between $20,000.00 - $50,000.000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Deadline for questions is COB 01/12/2026 - Questions and Answers will be publicly posted as an attachment to the same notice id on SAM.gov as the solicitation. Generally, answers will be posted to SAM.gov within 2 working days of the deadline for questions.
