The Town of Saint Albans will receive sealed bids for their FY2026 Roadway Resurfacing Projects. The contract generally includes work on the following roads: French Hill Road, Kellogg Road, Hill Farm Est, Perry Road and Cedar Hill Drive in the Town of Saint Albans, as follows: 1) Supply and Install 1,360 Tons of Type II Bituminous Concrete Pavement 2) Supply and Install 4,415 Tons of Type IV Bituminous Concrete Pavement 3) Reclaim 9,600 Square Yards of Existing Pavement 4) Cold Plane 42,120 Square Yards of Existing Pavement up to 1.5-inches thick 5) Provide Flaggers and Traffic Control Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Saint Albans as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance, Labor, and Material Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. Acceptable form for a Bid Guarantee is either a bid bond or certified check. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. The successful Bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Agreement, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Agreement Amount and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Agreement amount; said bonds shall be secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Owners. If awarded the Contract, the Contractor agrees to complete all work in its entirety, as described in these Contract Documents, on or before Friday, October 3, 2025 (all locations). The Contractor shall provide the Town of Saint Albans with one payment request, upon completion of the project in its entirety.
