Randolph ES - Interior Renovation Pre-Qualified Contractor Opportunities Deadline to submit Questions Location online portal. Apr 18th 2025, 3:00 PM CDT Overview: The Randolph Elementary School is located southwest of Chicago downtown, off EB I-94. Campus consists of a single 2-story building. The base scope for project includes abating and replacing the existing floor in the Main Gym and the accompanying office/storages areas at the West and East of the Gym area. The existing VCT tiles are Environmentally hazardous in all 3 areas and must be abated/replaced. New flooring will be wood in the Gym and VCT in the two support areas. The new wooden floor in the Gym will receive an app. 6' diameter school logo, to match the existing size. Artwork and location information will be provided to the winning contractor. The existing game markings will be replicated and replaced. Existing vinyl molding at the base of the wall will be removed and replaced. Second through fourth base scope items are removal of existing carpet in classrooms 207, 219 and 209; and replacement with new VCT tiles. The order in which these rooms are listed indicates the priority of that work. If the bid prices are higher than the budget, some of the classroom floor replacement work will be deleted as needed. One alternate is included and requires abatement and replacement of hazardous VCT at 3 stair landings. Refer to next page for a more detailed description of the base scope. Abatement work is required for this project and must be performed under MEC supervision by licensed contractor. Refer to reports and MEC Manual dated 3/17/25 issued by TEM Inc. for those details.
