Renovation of a retail development in Anoka, Minnesota. Working plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
The radio shop staff are moving to the new Emergency Communications Center in 2025. The current radio shop building will be repurposed to accommodate the staff and volunteers from Emergency Management. There are necessary modifications that need to be done to make this building functional for them. At this time, the Emergency Management staff meet at a building used for equipment storage, located at the Fairgrounds, which does not have a suitable meeting room. This move will also allow them to be located close to the Emergency Communications and Sheriff Department staff for collaboration. The project is included in the County 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 23, 2025, project is funded for FY2025, design team/contractor have been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
