Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in South Pasadena, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals required to complete the improvements shown on the Specifications and Contract Documents. The work performed under this contract is summarized in the Notice Inviting Sealed Bids and includes, but is not limited to each bid item listed in the Contractor's Bid Proposal, as covered in the Standard Specifications, and as described in the corresponding items on the following pages. The work in general, to be performed pursuant to these specifications, consists of installation of new flooring tile in the Senior Center. Product installed shall be glue-down LVP, manufactured by Shaw/Philadelphia, collection: 5th & Main 5M502 Woodwork, color: Dovetail 00700, details: 9" W x 60" L x 3/16" T Luxury Vinyl Tile 20 mil wear layer with Base Color: Burke, Accord 502 Brown. Specific rooms include the Main Hall, Office, and Computer Room including hallways and adjoining closets. Floor plans with approximate dimensions are provided in Appendix II, however contractor is responsible for verifying all actual measurements and accepts the actual existing square footage area in its entirety within the project limits. Product specifications are provided in the special provisions with reference to 'glue-down LVP, manufactured by Shaw/Philadelphia'. Preparation of the subsurface shall comply with tile manufacturer's recommendations and result in a level surface. New tile may be installed on top of the existing tile with proper manufacturer recommended preparation. Adjust the height of any doors to ensure doors open without obstructing the finished floor. Doors with in-floor latching must be maintained for continued proper operation. Transitions between rooms must be flush level. Threshold transitions to areas not receiving new tile must be as close to level as possible and within code compliance per verification by the City Building Official. Any existing floor outlets or monuments must be maintained and raised to flush with the new floor. Two new floor outlets in the Main Hall will be provided by the City with the contractor responsible to provide floor blockouts to enable installation and leveling with finished surface. Remove existing base boards and molding and replace with new, like-for-like wood or synthetic material and verify color with City staff. All furniture relocation shall be performed by the contractor as part of this scope, including movAll questions should be submitted via PlanetBids. Completed installation shall include all details of work finished and not rely on City maintenance or Senior Center staff for sealing or other incidental work.
