South Pasadena’s five-year strategic plan includes more than $24 million in spending over the next year on major improvements to the city’s streets, libraries, fire and police departments and more. ------------------------------------------------------------ The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals required to complete the improvements shown on the Specifications and Contract Documents. The work performed under this contract is summarized in the Notice Inviting Sealed Bids and includes, but is not limited to each bid item listed in the Contractor's Bid Proposal, as covered in the Standard Specifications, and as described in the corresponding items on the following pages. The work in general, to be performed pursuant to these specifications, consists of pavement rehabilitation and replacement of mains, valves, water services, meters, and other appurtenances. The project also includes repair of damaged PCC curb and gutter, sidewalks, and driveways at various locations within the project limits, sawcut, removal and disposal of existing asphalt roadway sections, removal of macadam and subgrade, cold milling of existing pavement, subgrade preparation and compaction, crushed miscellaneous base (CMB), asphalt concrete pavement, removal and reconstruction of damaged PCC curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway approaches, and ADA curb ramps, utility adjustments, installation of new water meters, services, valves, and appurtenances, sewer line repairs, traffic signing, thermoplastic striping and pavement markings; traffic control and all appurtenant work thereto necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvements, in accordance to Plans and Specification entitled as FY 19-20 Road Street Improvement Project No. 2020-01 (002001).
