Renovation of a water / sewer project in West Milford, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of July 15, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Work consists of adding two additional direct filtration filters to the existing filtration system, namely Filters 12 and 14, at the Pequannock Water Treatment Plant. Structural work will include but is not limited to expansion of the existing Filtration Building and construction of new cast-in-place filters. Architectural work will include, but is not limited to, modifications to the existing building conditions for construction of new filters, installation of roofing, exterior faade, and interior block walls. Mechanical work will include, but is not limited to, installation of new filter piping and valving, flow meters, turbidity meters, stainless steel underdrains, granulated activated carbon (GAC) media, filter baffles and troughs, and modifications required to the existing plant mechanical piping. Electrical, instrumentation and controls work will include, but are not limited to, installation of a new programable control units (PCU) for operation of the new filters, new field mounted instruments, and integration into the plant's central control system. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the City of Newark in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond, and a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond with a surety company licensed in the State of New Jersey, and meets the requirements of N.J.S.A. 2A:44-143. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and waive minor informalities. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
