Marshall County, by and through its Board of County Commissioners, will receive sealed bids for the construction and resurfacing of:Additional Paving Projects General Scope of Work to be Completed:1. Mill and FillA. Mill asphalt (1" up to 3")B. Prep and clean road surface. Patch/repair sub-base areas where needed D. Tack and resurface: 2" to 2.5" HMA base with 1.5" to 2.5" surface E. Shoulder material F. Striping2. Profi le Mill / Wedge and Level A. Profile mill road surface level B. Prep and clean road surface C. Patch/repair sub-base areas where needed D. Tack and resurface 1" to 2.5" HMA surface E. Shoulder material F. Striping3. Wedge and Level A. Sweep road surface clean B. Patch potholes or ruts greater than 2"C. Tack and wedge road surface with HMA leveling D. Cap with 1.5" HMA surfaceE. Shoulder materialF. Striping Project Locations:Additional Paving Projects:Item A: King Rd - Lincoln Highway to US 30 / 9A-Item B: Suter Rd - 9th Rd to 9A-Item C: 9th Rd - Dead End to Richter Rd-Item D: Quail Ridge Dr - 12th Rd to Dead End-Item E: Kenilworth Rd - RR Tracks to Dewey St- Itemized proposals for each road must include:Item Number-Description-Estimated Quantity-Unit-Unit Price-Total Amount-Each bid shall be submitted with a completed Indiana Bid Form 96 (Revised2013) and an executed Contractor's Financial Statement (Form 96A). Bids must be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes:One labeled "2025-1 Community Crossing Paving Projects"-One labeled "Additional Paving Projects"-Each envelope must contain a top sheet listing all included projects and a lumpsum (LSUM) price. Bids may be considered as a single bid for all work listed, or as separate bids for Community Crossing 2025-1 and Additional Paving Projects. Bids will only be accepted from bidders currently pre-qualifi ed by the Indiana Department of Transportation(INDOT). Any proposals received after the designated time will be returned unopened. Bid Security:All proposals must include a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of the totalbid, in the form of a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or money order issued by a financial institution insured by a U.S. federal agency, made payable to the Treasurer of Marshall County.Alternatively, bidders with a principal place of business in Indiana may submit a bid bond for ten percent (10%), payable to the Board of Commissioners of Marshall County. The Board of Commissioners may hold proposals for a period not to exceed sixty(60) days after the bid opening. The successful contractor must furnish:A performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price, within-ten (10) days of contract award. A two-year maintenance bond for 30% of the contract price, due upon completion and fi nal payment-No contractor may withdraw their proposal within sixty (60) days of the bid opening. The Marshall County Highway Department reserves the right to request clarification on any submitted bid. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals,waive technicalities or irregularities, delete bid items, and award contracts based on the best interest of Marshall County.
