Bids must be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes:One labeled "2025-1 Community Crossing Paving Projects"-One labeled "Additional Paving Projects"-Each envelope must contain a top sheet listing all included projects and a lumpsum (LSUM) price. Bids may be considered as a single bid for all work listed, or as separate bids for Community Crossing 2025-1 and Additional Paving Projects. Bids will only be accepted from bidders currently pre-qualifi ed by the Indiana Department of Transportation(INDOT). Any proposals received after the designated time will be returned unopened. Bid Security:All proposals must include a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of the totalbid, in the form of a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or money order issued by a financial institution insured by a U.S. federal agency, made payable to the Treasurer of Marshall County.Alternatively, bidders with a principal place of business in Indiana may submit a bid bond for ten percent (10%), payable to the Board of Commissioners of Marshall County. The Board of Commissioners may hold proposals for a period not to exceed sixty(60) days after the bid opening. The successful contractor must furnish:A performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price, within-ten (10) days of contract award. A two-year maintenance bond for 30% of the contract price, due upon completion and fi nal payment-No contractor may withdraw their proposal within sixty (60) days of the bid opening. The Marshall County Highway Department reserves the right to request clarification on any submitted bid. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals,waive technicalities or irregularities, delete bid items, and award contracts based on the best interest of Marshall County.
