Project Engineering Consultant Services at Griggs Park. Scope Provide engineering services for drainage design from development through the design review process, wetlands permitting, and production of construction plans and specifications for bidding to support Brookline Parks in the redevelopment of Griggs Park. The Town of Brookline seeks to retain an Engineering firm qualified in Civil Engineering, stormwater design and reports, as well as wetland permitting, to assist the Town with redesigning Griggs Park located at 33 Griggs Road in Brookline. In addition to these, the qualified firm will perform Geotech exploration and a report and provide structural engineering support for the proposed design elements as needed. The work will include assisting the Parks and Open Space Division with schematic design, development of stormwater reports, conservation commission permitting, design development, construction bid documents, and bidding support for the redesign of Griggs Park. The renovation will include pathway upgrades to improve accessibility, a new playground with resilient safety surfacing, a possible basketball court, stormwater and drainage improvements, the potential addition of outdoor exercise equipment, and new plantings. The work will be accomplished in coordination with a public design review process that will be managed by the Park and Recreation Commission and Town staff. An appointed Design Review Committee (DRC), working with the public, the Town Landscape Architect, and the consultant engineering team, will ultimately make a recommendation regarding the final proposed concept design.
