Otsego Lake County Park Beach Upgrades Bids are to be based on the following minimum standards and specifications: o Obtain all necessary permits for the project (note: Otsego County Parks & Recreation will obtain the Soil Erosion permit). o Remove the existing grass, top soil, etc. between the sand and the lake along the existing beach to achieve a 4" minimum new sand top layer and 6% minimum gradient to shoreline. o Add sand throughout where the existing grass and riprap shoreline protection is located. o Extend the beach by approximately 75 feet by removing the riprap, grass, top soil and adding sand to the north side of the existing beach in line with bullet points #2 and #3 above. o All surrounding property that may be affected by the construction must be returned to its original state (for example if the grass is tore up from equipment, it must be leveled back out and grass be planted). o The project shall begin after Labor Day (Monday, September 1st, 2025) with an official start date mutually agreed upon with the Otsego County Parks and Recreation Department. o The project must be completed before winter snowfalls Any questions must be received by email (@ jbrown@otsegocountymi.gov) by Monday, June 30, 2025 at noon. Any answers to questions will be posted on the County website link (above) no later than Monday, June 30, 2025 at 4:30p.m. and entitled "Q&A Document." The project shall begin after Labor Day (Monday, September 1st, 2025) and end by December 1, 2025. The County reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids, to waive or not waive informalities or irregularities in bids or bidding procedures, to rebid the project/purchase, and to accept any bid determined by the County to be in the best interest of the County, regardless of price.
