This is a Measure U Bond Program project. The Berryessa Union School District is seeking qualified and experienced licensed contractors to submit sealed bids for site work and utilities for three (3) portable classrooms at Northwood Elementary School. The work includes fire alarm, electrical power, fencing, minor AC paving, trenching, backfill of underground utilities, and overhead conduits LAST DAY FOR QUESTIONS/RFIs: April 21, 2025. PROJECT START DATE: June 16, 2025 PROJECT COMPLETION: July 31, 2025 LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - Class B The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any irregularities, accept or reject any or all bids, and be the sole judge of merit and suitability of the workmanship and materials. A. The work of this Section consists of providing all required labor, supervision, materials and equipment to satisfactorily complete all electrical installations that are shown on the Drawings, included in these specifications, or otherwise needed for a complete and fully operating facility. B. Furnish and install all required in-place equipment, conduits, conductors, cables and any miscellaneous materials for the satisfactory interconnection and operation of all associated electrical systems. The work of this section consists of: 1. Furnishing, installing, and connecting all duplex receptacles complete with wall plates and/or covers, as shown on the Drawings. 2. Furnishing, installing and connecting all single pole and three-way switches complete with wall plates and or handle operators, as shown on the Drawings. Description of Work A. The work to be performed under this Section consists of providing all wire and cable used for the data network, telephone system, including terminations as shown on the Drawings and as described herein. Systems included are fiber optic backbone system; Category 6 data station distribution, telephone feeder cables and telephone station cables. The intention of the data cabling is to provide a category 6 network that is capable of running at gigabit Ethernet speeds. The cabling, the terminations and the jacks used must meet these standards. B. The scope of work for this project is to relocate the existing MDF to a new location and provide new fiber optic cables and copper telephone cables from the new MDF location to the existing IDF locations. The establishment of 1 new IDF cabinet is also included in the project. The purpose of this project is to prepare the site for the removal of the existing buildings A and B. C. The scope includes the relocation of the existing MDF active components from the existing MDF rack to the new MDF rack location. D. The scope includes the relocation of the existing telephone system from the existing MDF rack to the new MDF rack location. E. The scope includes the establishment of a new AT&T MPOE in the new MDF room, routing of new conduit to intercept the existing AT&T conduit at the street crossing. F. Furnishing, installing, and connecting all data and telephone cables, complete with wall plates and/or covers, as shown on the Drawings or within this section. G. Furnishing, installing, and connecting all data and CATV equipment as specified within this section. Equipment includes but may not be limited to floor racks, wall equipment cabinets, wire management, fiber and category 6 patch panels H. Final documentation submittal shall be provided in both hard and electronic copy.
