The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Semi-annual Roof Maintenance Services. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Highway Patrol's (CHP), Oakland Area office, including all detached out buildings the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Semi-annual (twice yearly) Roof Maintenance Services in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement. A. Licensing Requirement: California Contractors State License Board - C-39 Roofing Contractor. B. Contractor and subcontractor(s) shall be registered with the Department of Labor Relations for public works projects pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. See Exhibit D, Section 1. G, Public Works Contractor Registration Program. C. Contractor shall provide a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with the Insurance Requirements found in this Agreement (Exhibit E). 2. The services shall be performed at: California Highway Patrol Oakland Area office 3601 Telegraph Avenue Oakland, CA 94609 3. The roof maintenance work schedule shall be performed during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless permission is granted otherwise by the CHP on-site contact. Contractor will be required to contact the CHP on-site contact to schedule semi-annual maintenance at least three (3) days in advance of inspection. Contractor shall check-in and check-out with the CHP on-site contact upon each service call to provide verification that service has been performed. If there are any discrepancies on invoice concerning hours worked, the CHP will refer to sign in sheet to confirm actual hours at facility. The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028. Question Deadline 05/09/2025 at 10:00 AM PT Bidders shall immediately notify CHP if clarification is needed regarding the services sought or questions arise about the IFB and/or its accompanying materials, instructions, or requirements. Bidders shall submit questions via email to Kellie Au at kellie.au@chp.ca.gov. Following the question submission deadline, the CHP will post a summary response of the questions and answers to be viewed online. Bidders that arrive after the walk-through has started will not be allowed to signin. No bid will be considered from a Contractor that did not sign-in at the mandatory walkthrough.
