This work is located along Moss Road and any branch water lines. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of labor only for the construction of approximately 10,615 linear feet of 6-inch water line and other appurtenant work as shown on the Plans and described in the Specifications. construction of new water lines on Moss Road and in the area served by Joe Rawlings Road The bidder shall be responsible for their early delivery. The work shall be paid for using available local funds. The work is to be bid separately for two (2) Contracts and consists of the following approximate quantities together with all necessary appurtenances. CONTRACT I This work is located along Moss Road and any branch water lines. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of labor only for the construction of approximately: 10,615 linear feet of 6-inch water line and other appurtenant work as shown on the Plans and described in the Specifications. The bidder may bid on either or both contracts in this project. Either or both contracts may be awarded. Special Conditions The OWNER shall provide all material, gravel, and asphaltic pavement required for this contract. The Contractor shall bid "Labor Only" for each of the pay items with the following exceptions: 1) The Contractor shall provide clean-up for the entire project including seed and straw (at his expense); 2) The Contractor shall provide the Class "C" concrete required for the kickers constructed as per the details on the plans. Sackcrete will not be accepted Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to ensure the execution of the Contract for which such bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a Contract with Cookeville Boat Dock Road Utility District, Putnam County, Tennessee, within ten (10) days from the time he shall be notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to Cookeville Boat Dock Road Utility District, Putnam County, Tennessee, as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish an acceptable performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. The bidder shall submit an affidavit stating that he as a company has a drug and alcohol testing program at least as stringent as that of the program operated by the governmental entity. All as required by the Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace Act. A copy of the owner's program is available for review at either the Owner's office or the Engineer's office. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities, and to negotiate with any and all bidders.
