Storage Tank Removal Project, Gehm's Little Village, Clearfield Twp., Butler County. Bid Bond Not Required. Estimate $0 to $100,000 (Small Business) All tank handling activities are to be performed by or directly under the supervision of a UMR DEP-certified tank remover who must be on site during tank handling activities. The three (3) Gasoline USTs, No. 001, 002, and 003, are 4,000 gallons each. The tanks are fiberglass single walled construction with fiberglass piping and were installed in 1990. The USTs contain the following product and water; Tank 001 .25 inches product and 1.625 inches water, Tank 002 a trace of product and 6.5 inches water, Tank 003 a trace of product and 3.625 inches water. Product and water to be removed and disposed on is estimated to be 300 gallons. The work will comply with all applicable laws, including the API Publication 1604 "Removal and Disposal of Used Underground Petroleum Storage Tanks" and Closure Requirements for Underground Storage Tank Systems, Department's Technical Guidance No. 263-4500- 601 document. The following are prerequisites prior to the contractor starting work: A. Pre-Job Conference Department Representative and Contractor shall attend an on-site Pre-Job Conference prior to work commencing. The Pre-Job Conference shall consist of the following: 1. Review project scope of work and reference materials 2. Work plan with description of tasks and schedule. 3. Preparation of site-specific plan for: a. Worker health and safety b. Management of investigation-derived wastes c. Quality assurance/quality control for site characterization activities. Contract Term 90 calendar days Questions regarding the technical aspects of the specifications should be directed to the Department Representative, Lauren Aiello, at 814-332-6338. Questions regarding contracting should be directed to DEPs Construction Contracts Section at 717-787-7820. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) requires a contractor to provide services for the Removal and Disposal of three (3) fiberglass 4,000 gallon Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems, including all associated piping and ancillary equipment. The tanks are located at 801 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, PA. The property is in Butler County. The tanks are registered with the DEP as Facility ID Number 10-90338. The property is owned by Cory J. Waller, who has failed to respond to dates set forth by the Department in a February 8, 2023, Administrative Order and Orders of the Butler County Court of Common Pleas dated July 18, 2023, February 7, 2024, August 28, 2024. Access to the Property for the purposes of removing the USTs and conducting any other corrective action deemed appropriate by the Department is granted by Butler County Court of Common Pleas Orders dated February 7, 2024, August 28, 2024, and February 6, 2025 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
