Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Clarkton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Bladen County Parks and Recreation Department is interested in receiving informal bids from qualified vendors for the construction of a 128' by 34' asphalt area for 2 Pickleball Courts. All inquiries concerning this Request for Proposals may be directed to Chip Perry, Bladen County General Services Manager at (910) 862- 6320 or cperry@bladenco.org. This project consists of stripping grass, adding 4" ABC, grading and compacting, and paving a 128' by 34' area for two Pickleball Courts. It also consists of applying 2 coats of sealer and painting the Pickleball lines. Includes working dirt to edges of asphalt. Coordination of this project shall be done with the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director. Safety The contractor shall be responsible for providing all safety equipment and safety training for all employees working on Bladen County property. When working in proximity to pedestrians, vehicles, building entryways or sidewalks, precautions shall be taken to ensure the safety of the public. Barricades, signage, flaggers or other means as necessary shall be taken to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists. Security: Only staff with proper security clearance will be allowed inside the building. No employee with felony convictions, misdemeanor convictions more than minor traffic violations or outstanding warrants will be allowed in the buildings or on the project. The Recreation Director may reject any or all proposed employees not conforming to the security requirements No weapons will be allowed inside the building or on county property at any time. Coordination of this project shall be done with the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director. The contractor shall have 45 days from the date of award of contract to complete all work. Failure to complete all work within 45 days could result in the assessment of liquidated damages up to $100.00 per day for each consecutive day beyond the completion date. Final payment shall be made within 30 days upon completion of all work to satisfactory condition as approved by the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director. Award of contract shall follow the bid opening and verification of the lowest responsible bid. Bladen County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Award of contract shall take place within 30 days of the date of bid opening.
