The County of Anson is seeking a qualified contractor/vendor to facilitate the NC StRAP project for the removal of debris in Lanes Creek. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Start at High Rock Crusher Road Bridge and extends 7,143 linear feet upstream of location. 7,143 linear feet of stream to be cleared. 2. Remove any debris that is not embedded into the creek bed and remove any trees on the bank that are leaning more than 45 degrees. 3. Debris must be removed completely from 100-year floodplain via hauling away, chipping, or placed outside of the floodplain border. 4. If the debris can not be removed from within the floodplain, the debris must be cabled to the ground to prevent reentry into the channel during flood stage. 5. Contractor must notify the NC DOT before removing any debris connected to bridges. 6. Contractor must provide any necessary equipment for the project. 7. Contractor will be responsible for correcting any substandard removal of debris pending final inspection. 8. It is the offeror's responsibility to assure that all addenda have been reviewed and, if need be, signed and returned. Proposals in one (1) original and three (3) copies will be received from each offeror in an envelope or package. Each original shall be signed and dated by an official authorized to bind the firm. Unsigned proposals will not be considered. All proposals must be received by the issuing agency not later than the date and time specified on the cover sheet of this RFP. At that date and time, the package containing the proposals from each responding firm will be opened publicly and the name of the offeror and cost(s) offered will be announced. Interested parties are cautioned that these costs and their components are subject to further evaluation for completeness and correctness and, therefore, may not be an exact indicator of an offeror's pricing position. At their option, the issuing agency's RFP Selection Team may request oral presentations or discussion with any or all offerors for the purpose of clarification or to amplify materials presented in any part of the proposal. However, offerors are cautioned that the proposal evaluators are not required to request clarification; therefore, all proposals should be complete and reflect the most favorable terms available from the offeror. Proposals will be evaluated according to completeness, content, and experience with similar projects, ability of the offeror and its staff, and cost. The contract period will begin from the awarded date and will continue until 06/30/26.
