DOTD Contract Traffic Signal Head Assy. The Department of Transportation and Development does not participate in online submittal online. For questions regarding this rfx, please contact kevin walker, 225-379-1462, Kevin.Walker@la.Gov. This specification sets forth the requirements for traffic signal head assemblies. Assemblies must adhere to the requirements set forth in the currently adopted MUTCD as per LADOTD Traffic Engineering Manual. Award will be made to the overall low bidder meeting all requirements of the solicitation. A split award will not be considered. Discounts are accepted but will not be considered in determining low bidder. Bidders proposing an equivalent brand or model should submit with the bid information (such as illustrations, descriptive literature, technical data) sufficient for state of louisiana to evaluate quality, suitability, and compliance with the specifications in the solicitation. Failure to submit descriptive information may cause bid to be rejected. Any change made to a manufacturer's published specifications submitted for a product shall be verifiable by the manufacturer. If item(s) bid do not fully comply with specifications (including brand and/or product number), bidder should state in what respect item(s) deviate. Failure to note exceptions on the bid form will not relieve the successful bidder(s) from supplying the actual products requested. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities at the same unit prices, terms and conditions stated in the bid for the life of the contract. The Department reserves the right to terminate this contract prior to the end of the contract period upon giving a thirty (30) day written notice to the Contractor if it is considered in the best interest of the Department.
