Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to remove and dispose of existing windows and install new windows for the Louisiana Department of Corrections (DOC). Location: Department of Corrections, Headquarters 504 Mayflower St. Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Jobsite Visit Contact: Scotty Henderson, DOC Facilities Services 225-342-8644 scott.henderson@la.gov Specifications: Headquarters, Building 6, 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor, Building 7, and Building 8, Basement, 1st floor, and 2nd floor. _ The Contractor shall remove and dispose existing window components, frames, glass and other structural pieces. _ The Contractor shall install new energy star certified windows or equal with interior and exterior frames of white vinyl with one lite per opening. Specify Brand/Model Bidding: __________________ _ The Contractor shall anchor the new units to existing brick/tile at each side with tap cons and to the existing lentil. Each shall be trimmed with vinyl on the exterior to the exposed bricks. The existing sill plates shall be bolted to the tapconned 1x4's, adhering them to the existing mortar sill. _ All windows to come with half screens. _ Toilet room windows shall include frosted/obscuring glass. _ All windows shall have low-e glass. _ The Contractor shall confirm window count and sizes at jobsite visit. DOC shall be responsible for: o Painting newly installed interior trim after installation is completed. o Moving all furniture 3 ft. from the openings. o Removing/reinstalling any existing window treatments. General Requirements: _ The Contractor shall ensure installation complies with local building codes, safety standards and manufacturer specifications. _ The Contractor shall provide all lifting equipment necessary for safe removal and installation. _ All work being performed is required during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. _ Work shall be performed in a workmanlike manner according to standard, and meet all code requirements, federal, state and local. _ The Contractor shall confirm window count and sizes at jobsite visit. _ All equipment shall have a minimum one year manufacturer's warranty. _ Workmanship shall be covered by a one year warranty for all installation work. _ The Contractor shall be required to check in with Security each work day. _ This is non-smoking facility.
