Renovation of a detention facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to remove and dispose of existing roof materials and install new architectural shingles for the Louisiana Department of Corrections (DOC). The Contractor shall perform the following: 1. Removal of existing shingled roofing system and installation of new asphalt shingled system. 2. Removal of any roof top vents, exhaust hoods, etc. The removal and proper disposal of all existing roofing materials and/or roofing related appliances determined to be removed down to the roof deck. 3 Replacement of any damaged deck with new decking materials with size and thickness to ensure a dry, structurally and thermally sound, clean and smooth surface for new roofing system. 4. Installation of a new asphalt system using methods recommended by roofing manufacturer, in accordance with local building codes. 5. Shingles to be hand driven with six nails per shingle. All valleys to have ice and water shield underlayment. Remove and replace all lead pipe boots with neoprene pipe boots. Question Deadline 05/06/2025 Deadline to answer written inquiries: 05/13/2025. If a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the FederalRegister, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M.Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to 10% of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide, or by an insurance company that is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents and is licensed to write surety bonds. In addition, the bond shall be written by a surety or insurance company that is currently licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. The undersigned further agrees, if awarded the contract, to execute and deliver to the Office of State Procurement at the time the contract documents are executed, a Performance Bond (made payable to "State of Louisiana - Department of Corrections") with Power of Attorney in an amount equal to the contract sum (100% of the amount of the contract) and agrees that this bond will be secured by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to 10% of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide, or by an insurance company that is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents and is licensed to write surety bonds. Also, to be provided at the same time is a Labor and Materials Payment Bond (made payable to "State of Louisiana - Department of Corrections") in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Contractor shall perform fully, entirely, and in satisfactory manner the work contracted, within the number of calendar days stipulated in the proposal and the contract. Time will be assessed against the Contractor beginning with the date of the notice to proceed. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $100.00 per day will be assessed for each andevery day the project remains incomplete beyond the established completion date. The State of Louisiana reserves the right to revise this calendar. Revisions before the bid opening date and time, if any, will be formalized by the issuance of an addendum to this ITB. The Office of State Procurement reserves the right to reject any or all bids and in particular to reject a bid not accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the bid documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
