All interested parties are invited to attend. This Advertisement for Bid is intended to meet the requirements of Georgia Code Section 36-91-2, as amended by SB146. This project is advertised in the legal organ of the county. This advertisement may be publicly viewed on the Internet at website. This Project will repair and resurface approximately 10 miles on 4 roads in Mitchell County including County Line Road from Pleasant Grove Church Road to the Dougherty County Line (1.25 Miles), Jerusalem Church Road from S.R. 112 to S.R. 93 (5.82 Miles), Sale City Road from Pebble City Road to the Colquitt County Line excluding inside the City Limits (2.94 Miles), and two locations on Forty Niner Road. The scope generally consists of 1276 TONS of Road Patching by milling existing road and replacing with 4" of 19 mm Superpave Asphalt, 5,930 TONS of leveling, 123,150 SY of Double Chip and Sand Seal Surface Treatment, and 40 TONS of Asphalt Resurfacing. Project also includes traffic control, shoulder clipping, tack coat, primer, striping, shoulder restoration along with any other related accessories and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and called for in the Contract Documents. Bids shall be on a unit price basis with lump sum prices for certain items of the Work. Each Bidder is required to submit a "Bid form", "Bid Bond", "Form of Qualification of Bidder", "NonCollusion Affidavit", "Immigration and Security Form", and "Contractor Certification Regarding Debarment" as outlined in Sections 00250 and 00410. All anticipated federal, state, or local permits required for the project have been obtained by Owner. A list of these permits is included in Paragraph 6.08 of the Supplementary Conditions. All anticipated rights-of-way and easements required for the project have been obtained by Owner. A list of the easements along with any special requirements is indicated in Paragraph 4.01 of the Supplementary Conditions. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening. Owner will not engage in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, or unrelated disability. Bids from minority- and female-owned organizations are encouraged. The right is reserved by Owner to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids. Time of completion for all work associated with this project shall be 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of a written "Notice to Proceed" from OWNER.
