TIA PROJECT #: PI 0016235 Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Street and Drainage Improvements for Bud Hutcheson Road and Chaney Road funded by the county's awarded Transportation Investment Act Funds. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Wesley Vickers, County Administrator for the Coffee County Board of Commissioners, 224 West Ashley Street, Suite E, Douglas, Georgia 31533. This is the county's new location. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Coffee County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. It is also encouraged to have all sub-contractors and product vendors present. Street and Drainage Improvements -Bud Hutcheson Road, Chaney Road, and Grandview Circle Resurfacing Improvements -Bud Hutcheson Road (0.882 Miles). The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, Supplemental Specifications,2024 Edition, or any applicable Special Provisions, contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. Any work required in excess of 4 feet deep shall be performed by a contractor or subcontractor having a valid Georgia Utility License. This requirement is defined in Chapter 14 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia and issued by the State of Georgia Secretary of State. Even though this project may not reach nor exceed minimum requirements such as depth of trench, project construction cost, etc. as described by the Chapter 14 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia, the prime contractor submitting the bid or the subcontractor performing the utility related work must hold a valid Georgia Utility Contractor License. The utility license number must be placed with the bid or the bid will be rejected. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. Deadline for all questions is (Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 9:00am. All questions received, and answers will be provided to all contractors in an addendum such as this. Any questions submitted after this deadline will not be answered since an addendum can not be issued within the minimum 72-hour timeframe prior to bid opening.
