Renovation of a multi-residential development in Fall River, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Window replacement in the 2nd through 6th floor apartment spaces and the north and south stairwells. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work is estimated to cost approximately $2,400,000. The work generally includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal and replacement of existing window assemblies in the 2 nd through 6 th floor apartment spaces and the north and south stairwells. The scope of work will also include the removal and replacement of all existing sill flashing and minor renovations of interior gypsum board wall assemblies to accommodate the new window installations. 2. Windows shall be removed and disposed of as asbestos-containing material. Refer to Section 01 11 31 Hazardous Materials Procedures, herein. 3. Furniture, wall hangings, area rugs, and other articles will be removed from the work area in apartments, by Owner, prior to the Contractor working in such apartment. 4. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and placement of existing air-conditioning units in each apartment. A/C units will not be reinstalled in new windows. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and storage of existing window curtains and draperies within each apartment. The Contractor shall be responsible for reinstalling existing window curtains and draperies in the same location, within each apartment. 6. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of existing window shades within each apartment. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing new roller shades within each apartment. Mock-up installation: 1. To establish a level of consistency throughout the project, the Contractor shall complete the work (100%) in one apartment, as designated by the Owner, and the work shall be approved by the Owner and Architect prior to proceeding with the specified work in the remaining apartments. Question Deadline 05/13/2025 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing.
