The purpose of the project is to construct and commission GAC treatment systems within a new treatment building at the District's Well Nos. 3 & 4. Permanent Emerging Contaminant Removal at Well Nos. 3 & 4 Contract H - HVAC Construction Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Any bid received after the stated closing time will be returned unopened. If bids are sent by mail to the Village Clerk, the bidder shall be responsible for actual delivery of the bid to the Village Clerk before the advertised date and hour for opening of the bids. If the mail is delayed by the postal service, courier service, or in the internal mail system of the Village beyond the date and hour set for the bid opening, bids thus delayed will not be considered and will be returned unopened. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all of the Bids received, to re-advertise for Bids, to abandon the project, to waive any or all informalities in any Bid received, accept any proposal which the Village determines to be the Lowest Responsible Bid in accordance with Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, and accept any proposal which the Village decides to be in the best interest of the Village.
