Project Description: The project consists of addressing the FOD (foreign object debris) caused by the deteriorating paint and metal on the aircraft hangar doors at B2446 and B2491. The contractor will strip the existing exterior paint off the four aircraft hangar doors at B2446 and the two aircraft hangar doors at B2491, to repair the corrosion of the metal underneath to prep and repaint the exterior side of the hangar doors to reduce FOD for the aircrafts. The hangar doors are currently rusting underneath the exterior paint, causing the paint to flake off therefore creating FOD for the aircrafts. Due to the paint flaking, the metal of the doors is exposed to the elements causing further deterioration. The doors once contained asbestos in the door frame and has since been removed. Assume no remaining ACM and no abatement needed. Return site to pre-construction condition. The buildings are to be occupied for the duration of construction. No swing space is needed.
