The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for the demo of the existing roof and installation of a new roof at the Iowa Falls Maintenance Garage. Contractors must provide all equipment, materials and labor necessary to complete the project as per attached specifications and drawings. The Iowa DOT bidding process is subject to the procedures and requirements established in Iowa Administrative Code 761--20. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submission is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Until a contract is awarded, the sole point of contact for this bid opportunity will be the Purchasing Agent listed in the event. All questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent and will not be accepted after the Q&A Submissions Close Date. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit all questions through the Q&A Board. Responses to questions will be posted on the Q&A Board. DOT estimated start date: 7/1/2025 DOT estimated completion date: 6/30/2026 NOTE: No work is to begin prior to July 1, 2025. Payments on contract will be made monthly by means of state warrants to the extent of Ninety-Five Percent (95%) of the value of work performed, including acceptable material stored at the building site, as determined by the Contractor as governed by the Iowa DOT.
