Theodore Roosevelt NP-Clear out Three (3) Impounded Stone Culverts and Immediately Related Drain Channels Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service (NPS), Midwest Region, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to solicit for hydro-flushing, hand clearing & mechanical / hydro vac-excavation three impounded stone culverts, Located on property within National Park property on Scenic Drive RT10 at Theodore Roosevelt National Park's, North Unit: 15-miles south of Watford City. The acquisition will be conducted using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Type of Contract: The NPS intends to award a firm-fixed price commercial services contract in response to this RFQ. Project Location: Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit - 208 Scenic Drive, Watford City, North Dakota 58854 Project Description: 1. Mobilization of labor resources, supplies, and equipment to three (3) culverts. 2. Hand, Mechanical, Hydro jet, and Vac excavation of impounded historic stone culvert ducts, using due care to minimize damages to historic masonry. 1. Creating access approaches to culvert inverts upstream & downstream to access drainage channels. 2. Hauling and deposition of soils, and sediments evacuated to park storage yard. 3. Grade adjustment and contour work upstream and downstream of each location for approximately 75 linear feet in each direction. Slope grading and adjust with machinery to contour for rundowns to adjacent landforms, and drainage channels to reduce impoundment. a. May include contractor management of small tree and shrub stumps relieved by NPS, and other brushing needed to access with equipment and manpower. 4. Hauling and deposition of soils, and sediments evacuated to park storage yard. 5. Installation of straw waddles to restrain sediment infiltration, and erosion of disturbed slope contours. 6. Cleaning and flushing of relieved ductwork. 7. Providing Before, During Work, and After photo-documentation. 8. Demobilization from project site. Period of Performance: 50 calendar days.
