Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Watford City, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

** As of August 8, 2025 project has been awarded to Central Specialties, Inc. with an awarded amount $5,937,571.34.** Site Directions: From Watford City, ND go south on Main St. S for approximately 1 mile then turn right on 24th Ave SW. Project continues on 24th Ave SW for approximately 2.0 miles, which then transitions to 25th St NW for another approximately 0.2 miles. Est. Completion Date: Sept. 30, 2026 A pre-bid conference will not be held Question Deadline 07/03/2025 Questions during bidding should be directed to the McKenzie County Engineering Directors Office, Grace Demars at (701) 444-7168. McKenzie County will not accept electronic bids for this project. Late bids will be deemed unresponsive. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. All work under this advertisement shall be started on a date to be specified in a written notice to proceed from the McKenzie County Board of Commissioners. Work is expected to be substantially complete and ready for final payment on the dates specified in C-520 Agreement between Owner and Contractor (Agreement) as contained in the Contract Documents. Provisions for liquidated damages are also defined in the Agreement. Bid Schedule 1 for the project consists of the reconstruction of the county gravel road to a two-lane asphalt roadway with a portion of the road being an urban section where mill & overlay will be performed. It also includes the removal and replacement of existing storm culverts, additional approach culverts, and replacement of an existing timber bridge on the roadway with a reinforced concrete box culvert. Other work to be performed during this project include erosion control measures, fencing, cement treated subgrade, grading of roadway and ditches, temporary traffic control, permanent signage, pavement markings, and guardrail replacement. Bid Schedule 2 for the project consists of the paving of the McKenzie County Athletic Park parking lot with asphalt adjacent to the 24th Ave SW corridor. the project consists of temporary & permanent erosion control, stripping, stockpiling, and replacement of topsoil, fencing, removal of asphalt and portland cement concrete paving, removal of structure, providing and setting a premanufactured box culvert, grading, embankment, cement stabilized subgrade, aggregate base course, asphalt and portland cement concrete paving, pavement markings, signage, drainage structures, storm sewer inlets and manholes, storm sewer piping, restoring the surrounding area to pre-construction conditions and other items, plus incidentals, as fully described in the bid documents and construction drawings.
