Site work for a transportation facility in Rutland, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The City of Rutland is soliciting bids from experienced Contractors to remove and replace existing aluminum fence adjacent to the Amtrak Station in downtown Rutland The Rutland Amtrak station is a vital and historic component of transportation infrastructure. The existing aluminum fence, adjacent to the railroad tracks, is in very poor condition. The Rutland Rail Gateway Fence Replacement project proposes to remove roughly 90 feet of existing fence and replace it with roughly 200 feet of new, sturdier fencing. The goal of the project is to build a structure that will create a boundary between vehicles accessing the Amtrak station parking lot and the railroad tracks.
