Renovation of a municipal facility in Coquille, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Single Contract Proposal for Removal and Replacement of Existing Composition Shingle Roofing, Felt Underlayment, Metal Flashing and Accessories on the Duplex and Storage Building at 778-780 & 792-794 N. Birch St, Coquille or 97423. Bid Security Must Be for 10% of the Amount of the Bid and Guarantee Bids for a Period of Thirty (30) Days After Bid Opening. The Project is Subject to Davis-bacon Minimum Wage Rate Requirements and Related Acts Relative to Minimum Wages. Davis-bacon Minimum Wage Rates and Other Requirements Shall Be Complied With by the Successful Bidder and All Subcontractors, and Appropriate Certificates Indicating Compliance Will Be Required. A Copy of the Rate Schedule is Included With These Specifications. Within Two Hours of the Bid Opening, All Bidders to Be Considered as Responsive Shall Submit at the Above Address, a Form, Disclosing the Names, Addresses, Construction Contractors Board Numbers, if Applicable, of All First-tier Subcontractors Whose Contract Value for Labor or Labor and Material Exceeds 5% of the Total Project Bid or $15,000, Whichever is Greater. North Bend Housing Authority May Reject Any Bid Not in Compliance With All Prescribed Public Bidding Procedures and Requirements and May Reject for Good Cause Any or All Bids Upon a Finding by the Housing Authority That It is in the Public Interest to Do So. The Housing Authority Reserves the Right to Waive Minor Irregularities in Bid Form Upon a Finding by the Housing Authority That It is in the Public Interest to Do So. THE SCOPE OF WORK CONSISTS OF : THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF THE EXISTING ASPHALT SHINGLE ROOFING SYSTEM INCLUDING SHINGLES, UNDERLAYMENT, EDGE METAL, ATTIC VENTS, PLUMBING VENT FLASHING, AND ELECTRICAL MAST FLASHING. NEW WORK INCLUDES REPLACEMENT OF THOSE COMPONENTS THAT WERE DEMOLISHED PLUS ADDITION OF ICE AND WATER SHIELD MEMBRANE, RIDGE VENT, AND FALL PROTECTION ANCHORS. REPLACEMENT ROOF SYSTEM SHALL BE INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND CONSISTS OF: -ARCHITECTURAL ASPHALT COMPOSITION SHINGLES OVER -SYNTHETIC UNDERLAYMENT OVER -ICE AND WATER SHIELD (SEE PLAN FOR LOCATIONS) OVER -(E) ROOF SHEATHING. -PROVIDE NEW EDGE METAL, VENTS, AND PIPE VENT FLASHING. SEE SPECIFICATIONS FOR MORE INFORMATION. EXISTING ROOF SHEATHING, FASCIA, GUTTERS, AND DOWNSPOUTS TO REMAIN. IN ADDITION, IF UPON INSPECTION, ANY SHEATHING, FASCIA, OR DOWNSPOUTS ARE DETERMINED TO BE UNSERVICEABLE OR ROTTED; a. ANY ROTTED FASCIA SHALL BE REPLACED. b. ANY OTHER COMPONENTS CONSULT ARCHITECT. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing and addressed to the Architect at Crow/Clay & Associates Inc., PO Box 839, Coos Bay, Oregon 97420. To be given consideration, each request for interpretation must be received at least six (6) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Requests may be emailed to coosbay@crowclay.com. Work consists of removal and replacement of existing composition shingle roofing, felt underlayment, metal flashing and accessories on the duplex and storage building. Any rotted sheathing or trim is to be removed and replaced. Contractor responsible for collection and removal from site of all debris and waste related to reroofing project work and materials.
