The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of qualified consultants to establish one (1) or more fixed-fee, open-ended contracts for sidewalk and trail design services on an "as needed" basis. Contracts will be awarded for an initial term of one (1) year, with the option for up to three (3) one (1)-year renewals. The number of contracts awarded will depend on the number and quality of the proposals received, with a maximum of two (2) contracts. Sidewalk and trail design services includes, but is not limited to, the design of new sidewalks and trails, curb ramp additions and/or modifications, signage and striping additions and/or modifications, maintenance of traffic plans, and/or any other improvements to enhance pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and/or safety. Projects may include gap infill between existing sidewalk and trail segments, as well as at-grade or overhead structural components.
