Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Leesburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
As of June 23, 2025, contractor has been selected. Construction expected Spring/Summer 2026 with estimated completion Winter 2026. Summary: The Town of Leesburg is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the Airport Runway Pavement Rehabilitation project. Work includes the mill, overlay and grooving of Runway 17-35 (RW17-35). The runway dimensions are 5,500' x 100'. Also included is the milling and asphalt overlay (Federal P-401) of Taxiway A1 (TWA1), and Taxiway A2 (TWA2). Both taxiways are approximately 250' in length and vary in width. TWA5 will be demolished and reconstructed with base stone (P-209) and asphalt (P-401). This project includes federal funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and state funding from the Virginia Department of Aviation (DOAV) and shall be subject to applicable grant requirements and regulations. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) contract goal of 10.03% has been established for this contract.
