This project involves the replacement of approximately 1,250 linear feet of 2-inch water main located along the east side of 66th Street North (SR 693) between 50th Avenue North and 54th Avenue North with 6-inch water main. Fire hydrants will be provided at 5051 and 5335 66th Street North. This extension will improve water quality as well as provide a looped system. This project involves the replacement of approximately 1,250 linear feet (LF) of 2- inch water main located along the east side of 66th St. N. (SR 693) between 50th Ave. N. and 54th Ave. N. with 6-inch water main. 4.2. Minimum Qualifications The Bidder is hereby advised that the City will only accept bids from qualified Contractors who have successfully completed a minimum of three (3) projects in the five (5) years preceding the advertisement for this Solicitation, and whose project superintendent has also successfully completed a minimum of three (3) projects in the five (5) years preceding the advertisement for this Solicitation, in which each of the projects meet or exceed the following qualification requirements: Two (2) projects must include: Construction of a minimum of 2000 LF of 2-inch to 8-inch ductile iron and PVC pipes by open cute and horizontal direction drilling method One (1) project must include: Construction of underground utility project including road restoration with a public entity. Contractor shall be FDOT approved. Each of the three (3) projects must have a construction and/or renovation value in excess of $1,000,000 Have the ability to obtain the minimum insurance requirements set for in the agreement. Bidder must be able to obtain a Public Construction Bond for the Project upon award. Failure to demonstrate compliance to the above requirements will render the Bid non-responsive. 4.3. Maximum Contract Completion Time Contractor shall commence the Work within ten (10) calendar days after the City issues the Notice to Proceed. After issuance of the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall: Reach Substantial Completion of all Work within 120 calendar days, and Reach Final Completion within thirty (30) calendar days after the City's delivery of the punch list. 4.4. City's Responsibilties At a minimum, City shall provide and meet the following responsibilities: City shall provide a point of contact (City Project Manager) to administer the Agreement. City Project Manager shall assist with planning, strategy, and objectives prior to performance of the Work. City Project Manager shall promptly respond to issues and inquiries so as not to hinder the progress, completion, or compensation for the Work.
