The work is to be done surrounding the Elder Jordan statue located at the intersection of 22nd St. S. and 7th Ave. S. on the south side of the Manhattan Casino building. This is a sheltered bid only open to City of St. Petersburg certified Small Business Enterprise's (SBE). Work must be self-performed. Background The Elder Jordan Sr. statue was unveiled on October 28, 2020. The idea for the statue was conceived by the community. The City of St. Petersburg commissioned local artist John Hair to create the bronze statue of Elder Jordan Sr., a former slave turned entrepreneur and one of the city's original pioneers. The statue immortalizes a man who built opportunity and paved the way for much progress. It is prominently located on 22nd Street South to welcome all who come to The Deuces, St. Petersburg's historic 22nd Street Corridor. The site is located at the intersection of 22nd St. S. and 7th Ave. S. on the south side of the Manhattan Casino building. The project address is 688 22nd Street South. Maximum Contract Completion Time The vendor must complete landscape installation within 30 days of start of work and the vendor must complete all maintenance requirements within a 6 month period after installation is complete. 4.3. Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, Vendor must meet the following qualifications: Have been in the business of providing irrigation installation and landscape design work as described herein for a minimum of three (3) years. Have the ability to obtain the minimum insurance requirements set forth in the base agreement. Provide proof of successful completion of a minimum of six (6) projects in the three (3) years preceding the advertisement for this Solicitation All six (6) projects must include: Construction of similar size and scope or larger for a government agency Landscape construction, Irrigation design / construction and Establishment Period services Provide proof of project superintendent's successful completion of a minimum of six (6) projects in the three (3) years preceding the advertisement for this Solicitation All six (6) projects must include: Construction of similar size and scope or larger for a government agency Landscape construction, Irrigation design / construction and Establishment Period services Vendor must be a City of St. Petersburg certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE). 4.4. Vendor Responsibilities Expectations of performance: Complete all work within the timeline specified above. Complete work according to "Lanscape Plan" as shown in the attachments section of the solicitation. Provide a point of contact to communicate with the city project manager. Deliverables of performance Provide establishment period services for a six (6) month duration: The Establishment Period pertains to watering, specifically of the root ball, during the first six months after planting. This is beyond the water the plants will receive from the irrigation system. Vendors must be familiar with the watering requirements of the plants in the landscape plans. Vendor must provide 100% irrigation coverage for new and existing plantings. 4.5. City's Responsibilties At a minimum, City shall provide and meet the following responsibilities: City shall provide a point of contact (City Project Manager) to administer the Agreement. City Project Manager shall assist with planning, strategy, and objectives prior to performance of the Work. City Project Manager shall promptly respond to issues and inquiries so as not to hinder the progress, completion, or compensation for the Work.
