Citywide Custodial Services The term of the contract will be for a period three (3) years beginning July 1, 2025, with the option to extend the contract in one-year increments for an additional two (2) years. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS May 15, 2025. INQUIRIES BY CONTRACTORS - All questions regarding this RFP must be emailed before the deadline (see RFP Schedule) to: Derek Bahamondes, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, dbahamondes@cityofsanmateo.org. Bid Bond. A bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the City of San Mateo in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate amount of the bid shall be submitted with the proposal. Such bond shall inure to the benefit of the City in the event the contract is awarded to the Contractor and said Contractor fails to enter into the contract. The right is reserved, as the interest of the City may require, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bids, and to accept, modify, or reject any items of the bid, or in the case of a single bid being received to extend the acceptance date by up to thirty (30) days with notice. The City of San Mateo is a charter City and any contract entered into is subject to the provisions of the City of San Mateo Charter, which may supersede certain provisions of the state law.
