Renovation of a recreation facility in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
As of August 27, 2025, this project has been awarded. The Contractor's license required for this contract is Class C-39. Listed subcontractors shall also possess the contractor's license required for each specialty work specified and/or possess a Class C-39 license. To the extent required by state law, any other contractors or subcontractors must hold a valid license in the appropriate classification for the work performed. The City of San Mateo is a charter City and any contract entered into is subject to the provisions of the City of San Mateo Charter, which may supersede certain provisions of the Public Contract Code and other provision of state law. To ensure performance, City reserves the right to retain five percent (5%) of the contract price for 35 days after it records the Notice of Completion. However, pursuant to the Public Contracts Code Section 22300, Bidder may substitute securities for said five percent (5%) retention or request that City make payments of retentions earned directly to an escrow agent at Bidder's expense. The provisions of the Public Contracts Code Section 22300 are hereby expressly made a part of the contract. Questions regarding the Bidding Documents should be directed to Steve Wu, Facilities & Fleet Services Manager, swu@cityofsanmateo.org via email and received no later than seven (7) calendar days before bids are due.
