The City of San Mateo's Public Works Department's Water Quality Control Plant is requesting proposals from qualified firms for the purpose of providing sufficient staff and equipment to facilitate the removal of material from recently decommissioned processes and perform thorough cleaning of all associated pipelines, tanks, and equipment. The City of San Mateo ("City") encompasses approximately 13.5 square miles and is conveniently located adjacent to the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge and just 10 minutes from San Francisco International Airport. The City shares borders with Belmont, Burlingame, Foster City, and Hillsborough, in addition to the unincorporated Highlands-Baywood Park area of San Mateo County. With a population of over 101,000, San Mateo is the second largest city in San Mateo County. The existing wastewater treatment plant is a 10 MGD (Dry Weather) traditional activated sludge facility that services all of the City of San Mateo & Foster City as well as portions of the Town of Hillsborough, San Mateo County, and the City of Belmont. A new Biological Nutrient Removal/ Membrane Bioreactor facility is nearly finished with construction and will be commissioned to eventually replace the existing traditional activated sludge facility. The City is seeking to contract with qualified, dependable firms to clean recently decommissioned process areas. Provide a detailed description of the firm's proposed approach to providing the Scope of Services described in Section III. Include Timelines for delivery and any recommended revisions or additions to the list. The proposal shall stipulate that it is predicated upon all the terms and conditions of the RFP. In addition, it shall contain a statement to the effect that it is valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of receipt thereof by the City. It shall be signed by an official authorized to bind the organization.
