Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Simsbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the addition of a theater / auditorium; for the demolition of a theater / auditorium; for the construction of a theater / auditorium; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Included in this work is select demolition, construction of a building addition, supporting utilities, and ancillary exterior improvements such as sidewalk, steps, and railings. The addition includes foundation, structural steel, framing, MEP, and interior fit-up including a conference room, multi-use rooms, offices, bathrooms, utility areas, and storage spaces. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including nondiscrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification as Small Business Enterprises ("SBE") from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS"). A minimum of 6.25% of the state-funded portion must be set aside for subcontractors holding current DAS certification as Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned businesses ("M/W/DisBE"). The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. The project is funded in part by State grant funded provided by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). The project is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. The grant funded portion of this project is $900,000.
