DESCRIPTION OF WORK. WORK includes all activities necessary to replace the floats at the Meyers Chuck Harbor. The WORK generally consists of all labor, materials and equipment to perform mobilization, construction surveying, demolition and disposal of existing floats, delivery and installation of Ownerprovided floats, salvage and reinstall existing gangway, pile removal and installation, protected species observation, floatation billets, anodes, and other improvements as identified in the project documents. The Engineer's Estimate is approximately $1,400,000. SITE OF WORK. The Contractor shall take possession of the Owner-provided floats in Wrangell, Alaska and mobilize them to Meyers Chuck, Alaska for installation at the Meyers Chuck Harbor. COMPLETION OF WORK. The OWNER will open the work site to the CONTRACTOR beginning on September 1, 2025. Substantial completion must be reached by December 15, 2025. BIDDING, CONTRACT, or TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. BID SECURITY. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the City and Borough of Wrangell in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. This serves as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it.
