This project will not be going out for bid until 5/16/2025 Electrical Work The project includes replacement of the existing influent screens at the Easterly and Westerly Combined Sewer Overflow Facilities and associated electrical/telemetry upgrades. The project will be financed by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority. Bidders are directed to the Super Cross Cutter requirements of the Bid Documents for construction projects funded under the PennVEST Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan programs. Notice is given that not less than the minimum wage rates set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid to employees on this project in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor, Davis-Bacon General Wage Decision. The Contractor is subject to the provisions of the Federal Consolidated Appropriations Act, January 17, 2014, P.L. 113, No. 76,436, American Iron and Steel Act to furnish iron and steel as defined in the Act and amendments. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bank Check, Certified Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, the Altoona Water Authority, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and the submission other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in "Circular 570 - Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" (current publication) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department.
