Description: The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for the Wainwright Gravel Acquisition 2025 project. The work consists of Mining, Stockpiling and Delivering 20,600 cubic yards of material known as surface course road grade to locations in Wainwright directed by Public Works. Total quantity delivered and paid for will be verified by survey to be provided. Any questions shall be submitted in writing on or before Tuesday May 6, 2025 no later than 5:00 pm, directed to Ian Stroud, Project Administrator, ian.stroud@north-slope.org. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the North Slope Borough for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, or accompanied by a bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, of a corporate surety licensed to do business in the State of Alaska, conditioned that the bidder will pay the Borough, as liquidated damages, the amount specified in the bond, unless it enters into a contract in accordance with its proposal and furnishes the performance and payment bond with surety satisfactory to the Borough in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and insurance certificate within ten (10) days from the date on which it is notified that it is the successful bidder, its check (or bid bond) and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities or informalities in any of the proposals. Bids may be awarded in accordance with the Borough's preference policy, a copy of which is available upon request. Each proposal shall be submitted only on the prescribed proposal forms included with the contract documents.
