The work, in general, consists of removing and resurfacing approximately 1.5 miles of existing roadway with asphalt concrete and replacing damaged areas of curb, gutter and sidewalk. A bid security of 10% is required from all bidders. The bid security must be in the form of cash, certified or cashier's check, electronic bond (eBond), or a bid bond in favor of the Department. Bid Security other than electronic bond must be received by the Department prior to the bid opening closing time specified above. A payment bond and a performance bond each 100% of the value of the contract are required from the successful bidder. The working days must begin on August 26, 2025, contingent upon prior receipt of notice to proceed. The Contractor must possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded. The Contractor must complete all work before the expiration of 45 working days. Working hours are limited to 8:45am-8pm on weekdays, except as otherwise designated in Section 12.
