The Village of South Elgin, Illinois, desires sealed bids for the following 2025 Sidewalk, Driveway Apron and Curb Replacement Project. The unit price submitted shall be for furnishing of all equipment, materials, labor, and incidentals necessary to complete the work for the construction of approximately: ITEM NO. DESCRIPTION UNIT QTY 1 PCC SIDEWALK REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT 5" SQ FT 4,800 2 PCC SIDEWALK REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT 6" SQ FT 700 3 PCC APRON REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT 6" SQ YD 30 4 CURB REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT LF 125 The specific locations of concrete repairs will be provided to the lowest bidder of the project upon award of the contract. Bids submitted by facsimile or e-mail will not be accepted. Board Approval June 2, 2025 Substantial Completion July 15, 2025 Final Completion July 31, 2025 Question Deadline 05/20/2025 Bidders in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the contract documents shall submit to the Director of Public Works a written request for an interpretation thereof. The Director of Public Works will give an interpretation of the matter in question by issuing an Addenda and sending same to each person receiving a set of these contract documents. Interpretations requested less than 48 hours before the scheduled bid opening will not be responded to.
