Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in South Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of installation of a duplex booster pumping station consisting of submersible vertical turbine pumps mounted in welded steel cans with pitless adapters, a weatherproof control panel consisting of variable frequency drives, a flow meter vault, a valve vault, extending electrical and signal cables and conduit from existing Water Treatment Plant No. 12, and other miscellaneous items ofwork. Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bankdraft payable tothe Village of South Elgin for ten percent (10%) of the total amount ofthe Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
