Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in South Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

Work will include site clearing, earth work operations, asphalt path, concrete walks, concrete curbs, underground drainage, playground installation, shelter installation, vinyl fencing, sports color coating, site furnishings, planting, and seeding operations. Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 8:00 AM on October 23, 2025 from Building Connected. There is no cost to download the PDF files. Hard copies are at the contractor's expense. Bids will be accepted at the Public Safety Center, 50 S. Water Street, South Elgin, IL 60177, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor's name and address, and "Bid for Ralph E. Tredup Park," on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 3:00 PM on November 6, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud starting at 3:01 PM in the Board Room at the Public Safety Center, 50 S. Water Street, South Elgin, IL 60177. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department. The South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department. The South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with all federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
