Renovation of an educational facility in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University of Washington (University or UW) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified design-build, teams (which may include joint ventures) including a multi-disciplinary engineering firm as well as mechanical and electrical trade partners to design and construct the UW Tacoma Energy Upgrades Project Portfolio. Project scope includes the replacement of gas-powered equipment and some inefficient electrical machines with clean and efficient electricpowered equipment. The equipment targeted for replacement is located in three buildings across the UWT Campus. Two of these facilities serve neighboring buildings and close coordination with campus operations will be necessary. The project budget is $8 million.
