Question Deadline 06/20/2025 Questions must be submitted to Jeff Mis (jmis@landdesign.com) Existing Foundation Investigation F&R performed a series of non-destructive testing to locate and document the location of the existing shallow foundation system at the former Eastland Mall site. The following services were performed and will be documented under separate cover: Performed ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic induction (EMI) testing to establish the limits of the shallow foundations; Developed a drawing of the shallow foundation locations; Developed an estimated volume for the buried foundation system. Preliminary Subsurface Exploration and Geotechnical Engineering F&R performed subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering evaluations to provide the following preliminary recommendations: Description of the site subsurface conditions including the preparation of typed boring logs and subsurface profiles; Description of the site groundwater conditions; Preliminary geotechnical engineering recommendations for site preparation and earthwork activities; Preliminary geotechnical recommendations for foundation design and construction; Preliminary geotechnical recommendations for pavement construction; and, Preliminary recommendations for quality assurance and materials testing. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Refer to Contract Documents for Full Description): The project includes +/- 4.5 acres of new public park space. The project includes the installation of a new restroom/storage building, a stage/pavilion, an interactive water feature, a new playground, artificial turf areas, sidewalks, curbs, walls, fencing, handrails, furnishings, lawn and landscaping as drawn and detailed in the Contract Documents dated May 8, 2025.
