Charlotte Water (CLTWater) has been implementing a successful sewer rehabilitation program for more than 20 years and is currently seeking a consultant (Company) to continue to provide professional services for this on-going program (Project). The work will include continued program management and development in the areas of planning, evaluating, design, construction management, records management and performance monitoring. Charlotte Water (CLTWater) has been implementing a successful sewer rehabilitation program for more than 20 years and is currently seeking a consultant (Company) to continue to provide professional services for this on-going program (Project). The work will include continued program management and development in the areas of planning, evaluating, design, construction management, records management and performance monitoring. Charlotte Water primarily utilizes a find and fix rehabilitation approach with on-call contractors for the 8"-12" diameter range of the collection system. CCTV work orders are assigned to a pending Contractor by the Company in targeted areas. CCTV is returned to the Company for review. A rehabilitation/replacement work order is created by the consultant for the selected assets. Other necessary projects are typically completed utilizing design-bid-build delivery. Upon the issuance of a Notice to Proceed, the Company shall: - Provide for the City, professional services in all phases of the Project to which this Agreement applies; - Serve as City's design professional for the Project, as directed by the City's Project Manager; - Furnish professional consultation and advice and furnish customary civil, structural, and environmental engineering services incidental to the Project; - Review available data and consult with the City to clarify and define the City's requirements; - Provide construction administration services; and - Identify and analyze requirements of governmental authorities having jurisdiction and assist the City in obtaining required approval from such authorities. SCOPE The following is a general description of the tasks required. This is not intended to be allinclusive, nor is it guaranteed that all the below tasks will be utilized. A more defined Scope of Work will be developed during negotiation with the selected Company. Companies should refer to Charlotte Water's Design Manual for more detailed information on design and construction requirements. The design requirements for these projects will be discussed with the successful Company. The scope of services is divided into six categories: (A) planning and evaluation; (B) engineering and design; (C) construction management; (D) data management; (E) performance monitoring; and (F) miscellaneous field services. The following briefly describes the services that are anticipated for these six categories.
