Renovation of a fire / police facility in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Project is for the purchase, delivery, and installation of seventy-two (72) 2-Volt Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VLRA) DC batteries ("Batteries"), and removal and disposal of current batteries. The current Batteries are located at three (3) Ada County Sheriff's Office locations. See Exhibit A for detailed Project specifications. The Board of Ada County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids Auxiliary aids or services for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Please contact Procurement at (208) 287-7140 to make arrangements. Any and all questions, requests for clarification, or explanations desired by potential bidders must be submitted in the Vendor Discussions section of the Bonfire project listing, and received no later than August 21, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. local time Product Specifications a. Item #1 i. 2-Volt Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VLRA) DC battery. ii. Quantity: Forty-eight (48). iii. Amp-Hour (Ah) - 1,000 or greater. iv. Nominal Voltage - Two (2) volts per cell. v. Nominal Capacity @ 77 F (25 C) - 1,000 Ah. vi. Float Voltage - 2.23 - 2.27 VPC @ 77 F. vii. Battery Design: (1) Type - Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) . (2) Maintenance - Non-spillable/maintenance free. (3) Electrolyte Immobilization - Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM). (4) Case Material - Polypropylene Flame Retardant, UL94. (5) Cell Construction - Spun Glass, microporous matrix. (6) Positive Plate - Lead Calcium Grid Alloy. (7) Negative Plate - Lead Calcium Grid Alloy. (8) Terminal Type - Solid Copper Insert. (9) Orientation (upright, horizontal, both) - Horizontal. viii. Expected life - Twenty (20) years. ix. Cycle life - 1,200 @ 77F (25 C) @ 80% Depth of Discharge (DoD). x. Warranty - Minimum seven (7) years. xi. Operating temp. - -40 C to +50 C (122 F). xii. Required accessories - Three (3) individual cells housed in compact steel tray. xiii. Desired physical dimensions (L x H x D) in inches - 29.00 x 8.59 x 26.38. xiv. Required Documentation - Documents include, but are not limited to, Installation & Operating Manuals, Safety Data Sheets(SDS), Maintenance Schedules & Procedures, Compliance Certificates, Test Summary Documentation, and Warranty Information. b. Item #2 i. 2-Volt Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VLRA) DC battery. ii. Quantity: Twenty-four (24). iii. Amp-Hour (Ah): 608 or greater. iv. Nominal Voltage: Two (2) volts per cell. v. Nominal Capacity @ 77 F (25C) - 608 Ah. vi. Float Voltage - 2.23 - 2.27 VPC @ 77 F. vii. Battery Design: (1) Type - Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA). (2) Maintenance - Non-spillable/maintenance free. Desired physical dimensions (L x H x D) in inches - 39.69 x 8.59 x 23.56. xiv. Required documentation - Documents include, but are not limited to, Installation & Operating Manuals, Safety Data Sheets(SDS), Maintenance Schedules & Procedures, Compliance Certificates, Test Summary Documentation, and Warranty Information. 2. Instructions a. Vendors are to install new batteries and remove and dispose of old batteries. b. Removal and disposal will be done in compliance with all federal and state laws. c. Subcontractors shall not be used unless expressly approved in writing by County in advance. d. The Service includes three (3) radio sites. Twenty-four (24) Batteries will be installed at each site, with three (3) Batteries per Shelf: i. Site #1 - Harris Ranch - 3680 E. Warm Springs Ave, Boise, ID 83712 ii. Site #2 - Star - 192 N. Dawes Place, Star, ID 83669 iii. Site #3 - Ada County Courthouse - 200 W. Front Street, Boise, ID 83702 e. Batteries are stacked in shelves of three (3) for Star and Courthouse locations and shelves of six (6) for Harris Ranch location in same configuration as existing. (see site photos below). f. Batteries shall be grounded and bonded to existing grounding system in accordance with MotorolaR56 Standards and GuidelinesforCommunication Sites April 2017, Section 5.9.1.4. g. Bidder will coordinate with Ada County Sheriff's Office's representative to complete work.
