No definite date for the rebid.** The OMH, Central New York Psychiatric Center (CNYPC) is a maximum secured facility located at 9005 Old River Rd, Marcy, NY 13403.Throughout our campus, we have loading docks and exterior stairwells that are made of concrete material with railings. Due to weather, the railings on the stairwells have become loose and unsafe and a loading dock area needs railing installed. CNYPC is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to replace the stairwell railings and install a new railing in the loading dock areas Scope of work: The awarded Contractor shall remove and dispose of loose and unsafe railings on the stairwells, as well as furnishing and install new railings to replace those that have been removed. Additionally, the awarded Contractor shall furnish and install new railings in the loading dock areas. A. Project Preparation i. Conduct a site inspection to assess the condition of existing railings and surrounding areas. ii. Verify measurements and specifications for new railings. iii. Coordinate with the OMH facility to establish a project timeline and access to the work area. B. Removal of Existing Railings i. Safely dismantle and remove existing railings. ii. Dispose of old railings in the metal dumpster on the grounds designated by OMH iii. Inspect and prepare mounting surfaces for new railing installation, addressing any damage or irregularities. C. Supply of New Railings i. Procure materials for new metal railings as specified by the OMH Facility. ii. Ensure all materials meet quality standards, durability requirements, and aesthetic preferences. D. Installation of New Railings i. Install new railing components in accordance with NYS building code. ii. Secure railings to mounting surfaces using appropriate hardware. iii. Ensure proper alignment, stability, and structural integrity of the installed railings. iv. Apply safety yellow finish, coatings, or sealants as required to protect materials and enhance appearance. E. Cleanup and Final Inspection i. Remove all debris, tools, and equipment from the work area ii. Clean the installed railings and surrounding areas to ensure a polished finish. iii. Conduct a final walkthrough with the OMH Facility to confirm satisfaction with the work. iv. Provide documentation of compliance with building codes and any warranties for materials or labor. The MWBE goal established for this solicitation is 30%. MBE: 16% and WBE 14%. The SDVOB goal established for this solicitation is 6%.
